If you have kids, then chances are you’ve had to deal with stubborn carrot stains on your carpet. Here’s a guide on how to remove those pesky stains for good!

To remove a carrot stain from your carpet, start by blotting up as much of the stain as possible with a clean, dry cloth. Once you’ve removed as much of the excess stain as you can, prepare a solution of one part white vinegar to four parts water. Test the solution on an inconspicuous area of the carpet to make sure it doesn’t cause any damage, then soaked a cloth in the solution and use it to blot the carrot stain. Allow the solution to sit on the stain for about five minutes, then blot it again with a clean, dry cloth. Rinse the area with clean water, then blot it dry.

If you have a stain on your clothing that you want to remove, you can machine wash the clothing as usual. If the stain remains, you can treat it with an enzyme-based stain remover that contains pectinase. Allow the stain remover to work for 15 minutes, then machine wash the clothing as usual. If the stain persists, your final option would be to use an oxygenated bleach such as hydrogen peroxide or chlorine bleach.

If you have a carrot stain on your child’s clothing, you can treat it with lemon juice or vinegar. Use a small brush or toothbrush to break down the stain. If you do this, make sure you rinse baby’s clothes with cold water so acid doesn’t do any damage.
